ChengLi and Conner

So I'm halfway through a book series called Vampirates, and this one scene struck me as "worth a fanart". Conner Tempest (one of the two main protagonists) got really freaked out over having killed a man for the first time (earlier he got by pirating just wounding enemies), and here Cheng Li (major supporting character) is helping him come to grips with it.

"The greatest terrors aren't out there on the oceans. They're not hiding in the shadows. They're deep inside you. They're in your blood. You're no different, its the same for all of us."

Really cool dialogue, and great character development for Cheng Li, since her introduction in the first book as sort of an uptight high strung person.
